Major Improvement in Accredited Pressure Capability

After more than 2 years of challenging development, APL is proud to have completed a major improvement to our accredited uncertainties in pressure over a broad range from 1.4 to 280,000 kPa.

Through additions and upgrades to our reference equipment followed by extensive inter-laboratory comparisons with the National Measurement Institute of Australia, APL gained a scope of accreditation that is among the best available from commercial laboratories globally.

Our improved uncertainties are as low as 0.0015% (15 ppm) in the critical pneumatic gauge and absolute pressure ranges covering barometers and air data test sets.

Our improved uncertainties across our pressure scale offer:

  • 0.0015% at 200 kPa
  • 0.0026% at 7000 kPa
  • 0.0035% at 10 MPa
  • 0.0043% at 70 MPa
  • 0.0050% at 140 MPa
  • 0.0080% at 280 MPa
